"I have not been able to reply to the wishes individually, but I will say again - this affection has touched my heart deeply. I pray for everyone's good health and well-being," Modi said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed that he was “truly overwhelmed” by the immense outpouring of wishes, blessings, and affection he received from people across India and abroad on his birthday. He said the goodwill and faith shown towards him give him strength and deepen his resolve to work harder for the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

In a message on X, Modi stated, “Gratitude to Jana Shakti. I am truly overwhelmed by the countless wishes, blessings and messages of affection that have poured in from across the nation and overseas. This affection strengthens and inspires me. I thank the people for the same.”

The prime minister said that the support extended to him should be seen as a blessing not just for him personally, but for the collective mission of building a stronger India. “The innumerable wishes and the faith you have reposed in me are a source of great strength. I see them as a blessing not for me alone, but for the work we are doing together to build a better India. I resolve to continue working with even greater energy and devotion, so that we realise our dream of a Viksit Bharat,” he said.

Acknowledging the various social service activities being carried out by people in different parts of the country, Modi remarked that such acts of compassion and service reflect the inherent goodness of Indian society. “This inherent goodness in the people sustains the Indian society and gives all the courage to overcome all challenges with hope and positivity,” he noted, complimenting those leading such initiatives.

While he mentioned that he could not reply individually to all the messages, Modi reiterated how deeply touched he was. “I have not been able to reply to the wishes individually, but I will say again - this affection has touched my heart deeply. I pray for everyone’s good health and well-being,” he added.

Marking his 75th birthday, Modi received greetings from prominent personalities, including world leaders, who lauded his leadership. The Bharatiya Janata Party organized welfare programmes across the country as part of its fortnight-long ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ to commemorate the occasion.

Continuing his practice of unveiling development programmes on his birthday, the prime minister travelled to Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, where he launched a nationwide campaign dedicated to improving the health and nutrition of women and children.
