A brazen gang has left residents of Noida shaken after a spree of home invasions. Over half a dozen houses were targeted in 24 hours, with thieves making off with valuables worth lakhs. In a bizarre twist, the culprits also helped themselves to their victims' food, even cooking pakoras in their kitchens before making their escape.

The gang has been particularly active in Noida's Sector 82. They enter locked houses, spend some time inside, and indulge in culinary activities before stealing from the homes. About six or seven homes have been burgled in just one day in Sector 82 alone.

The burglars appear to operate with a surprising sense of leisure, treating their heists like a gourmet adventure as they sample food from kitchens and refrigerators before absconding with valuables.

In Sector 25, the thieves stole jewellery worth Rs. 3 lakh from Richa Bajpai. She reported that, before fleeing, they smoked bidis, emptied water bottles, ate paan (betel leaf), and spat in the bathroom.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police for Central Noida, Hridesh Katheria, confirmed that a dedicated team is investigating the crimes. Enhanced patrols have been deployed in the affected area as the police work to apprehend the culprits.
