Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy was discharged from a private hospital on July 28 hours after he was admitted due to a nosebleed incident. The minister, who was addressing the media alongside former Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and BJP state president BY Vijayendra following a JDS and BJP Coordination Committee meeting, suddenly experienced a nosebleed and was swiftly taken to a hospital.

Doctors kept Kumaraswamy under observation for a few hours before discharging him. Speaking to the media outside the hospital, Kumaraswamy reassured his supporters and the public, stating, "As long as we have good wishes, God's grace, and parents' blessings, there is no danger."

Kumaraswamy revealed that he takes blood thinner medication as he has undergone heart valve replacements thrice, which makes him prone to nosebleeds, especially under stress. He said, "I have had heart valves replaced three times. I take a blood thinner pill to prevent blood clotting. It's normal for me to get nosebleeds when I'm stressed or restless. Doctors have advised me to reduce work pressure. Every moment I have is important. People should be helped somehow, and the center should contribute to the state."

Despite the health scare, Kumaraswamy emphasised his commitment to his responsibilities, saying, "People have trusted me and sent me to Delhi. This is just a temporary problem. No need to worry. I have been advised to rest."

The minister mentioned the upcoming parliamentary session, where his father, 92-year-old Deve Gowda, will be raising the Cauvery water issue. Kumaraswamy expressed his intention to be present, stating, "People have trusted me and sent me to Delhi. This is just a temporary problem. No need to worry. I have been advised to rest. 92-year-old Deve Gowda will raise the Cauvery issue in Parliament tomorrow. DMK and other MPs will work to disrupt. The Union Minister said that I should be with him on that occasion."

Kumaraswamy expressed his intention to be present, stating, "I will decide whether to travel to Delhi after observing any changes in my condition tonight. I will also inform the doctor about this. My health is not completely bad for not traveling. There is still one week left. If I cannot go, Nikhil Kumaraswamy will accompany. Party cadres should not worry about this."
