Swiggy rolls outs 'One Lite' membership. Here's what it offers

The latest development comes close on the heels of Swiggy's success with its meticulously planned collaborations with telecom and banking behemoths.

On-demand convenience delivery platform Swiggy, on October 9, rolled out its offering - Swiggy One Lite - the company said in a press statement.

Swiggy One Lite is a new and affordable version of Swiggy One - India's only membership program offering benefits across various consumption verticals, including food, grocery, and pick-up and drop services.

Launched at an introductory price of Rs 99 for three months, Swiggy One Lite offers many benefits including free deliveries, exclusive offers, and discounts, according to the company.

With this three-month membership, subscribers will be able to avail 10 free deliveries on food orders above Rs 149. Besides, they will also be offered 10 free deliveries on Instamart orders above Rs 199.

Subscribers will also receive up to 30 percent additional discounts over and above the regular offers, across more than 20,000 restaurants in India. In addition, Swiggy One Lite members will get a 10 percent discount on Swiggy Genie deliveries over Rs 60.

Speaking on the latest feature roll-out, Vice President of Revenue and Growth, Swiggy, Anurag Panganamamula, said, “At Swiggy, we’re always looking for new ways to bring our convenience mission to life. Nine out of 10 members of Swiggy One use two or more services making it one of the most valuable membership programs in the country".

Panganamamula further expressed his excitement about Swiggy One Lite's debut as a "pocket-friendly alternative" that has been developed to bring value to Swiggy consumers.

According to the company, an average Swiggy One Lite user, with a three-month membership, will get a nearly 6x return on the price paid for the membership on placing orders across food delivery, Instamart, and Genie services.
