Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M Ltd) reports August 2025 auto sales at 75,901 vehicles, showing flat growth including exports. Utility Vehicle segment sees domestic sales of 39,399 units, reflecting a -9% de-growth. Total Utility Vehicle sales, including exports, reach 40,846 units. Commercial Vehicle domestic sales stand at 22,427 units.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd, notes "August witnessed robust demand in the SUV segment amidst GST rate anticipation. Mahindra reported 7.4% YoY growth in PV Vahan registrations. Commercial vehicles saw 16% YoY growth (<7.5T LCV category)."
Gollagunta added, "Ahead of the final GST announcement, wholesale billing was consciously reduced to minimize dealer stock. The company anticipates GST rationalisation to drive demand through the festive season. Total vehicle sales mirror last year's figures at 75,901 units, while SUV sales declined -9% YoY to 39,399 units."
