Indian comedian Bhuvan Bam buys bungalow in GK-III for Rs 11 crore

Comedian, actor and Youtuber Bhuvan Bam bought a bungalow in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash Part 3 area for Rs 11 crore, documents accessed by CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm, showed.

The sale deed was executed in Bam's name on August 7, 2023. Bam paid a stamp duty of Rs 77 lakh for the transaction, the documents showed. The documents were made available only now.

According to the documents, the area of the bungalow that Bam bought is 207.41 square metres or 2,233 square feet. The property sits on a 180 sq m plot in Greater Kailash 3, a posh neighbourhood in South Delhi.

There was no immediate response from Bam to queries sent to him.

According to the circle rate, the value of the property is around Rs 4.78 crore, the documents showed.

Big-ticket deals

This is the latest in a string of high-value property transactions in the Delhi-NCR region of late. In October 2023, an 11,000 sq ft apartment at The Camellias by DLF in Gurgaon's Golf Course Road was sold for more than Rs 100 crore in a resale.

In the same month, MakeMyTrip group CEO Rajesh Magow purchased a 6,428 sq ft apartment in DLF Magnolias in Gurugram for Rs 33 crore while in a separate deal, Genpact chief human resources officer Piyush Mehta bought a 6,462 sq ft flat in the same complex for Rs 32.60 crore.

Similarly, Vasudha Rohatgi, wife of former attorney general of India Mukul Rohatgi, had in February 2023 bought a 2,100 square yard or 18,900 sqft bungalow in Delhi's tony Golf Links for Rs 160 crore.

In May 2023, Lenskart co-founder Peyush Bansal purchased a house in Neeti Bagh, an upmarket area, for Rs 18 crore.

Businessman Bhanu Chopra, founder of RateGain, had in February 2023 purchased a bungalow in Golf Links for Rs 127.5 crore.
