Responding to the anecdote, the 69-year-old actor praised Tamannaah in a way that didn’t sit well with the public. “Mashallah, kya dudhiya badan hai,” he said, which loosely translates to “What a milky body she has.” His choice of words was immediately criticized online for being “vulgar” and “objectifying.”
Annu Kapoor continued by making further remarks that added fuel to the outrage. He joked about age and attraction, saying, “70 saal ke umar ka bhi baccha ho sakta hai… woh 70 saal purana baccha hai,” implying that even at seventy, one could still have childlike admiration. He went on to add, “Behen, apne gaane se, apne shareer se, apne dudhiya chehre se humare bachon ko sula rahi hain… Desh ke upar kripa hogi agar humare desh ke bachche achhi aur swasth neend soyein.”

While Annu Kapoor seemed to frame his words as humorous or complimentary, audiences found them offensive. Clips from the interview quickly went viral on social media, drawing harsh criticism from viewers who felt his comments crossed the line.

One user wrote, “Wth! This man gives weird vibes.” Another said, “I know Annu ji personally, but such remarks are sexist and I oppose them openly.” A third comment summed up the prevailing sentiment: “Oh my God, what a milky body she has? This clearly reflects the mindset of Annu Kapoor. What an absurd and disrespectful remark!”
As of now, neither Tamannaah Bhatia nor her representatives have responded to the controversy. However, the backlash underscores a growing impatience with public figures making casual, gendered remarks under the guise of flattery.
