Praveg bags work orders for luxurious tent resorts in Lakshadweep's Bangaram and Thinnakara Islands

Praveg Limited, a luxury resorts company on March 14 said it has received work orders for luxury tent accommodations and other commercial activities on Lakshadweep's Thinnakara Island and Bangaram Island.

This project envisions creating 200 luxury tents on Thinnakara Island and 150 on Bangaram Island, complemented by amenities like Scuba diving, destination weddings, corporate events, private gatherings, a health and wellness centre, a children’s play area, and a coffee shop among others.

The initial term of the project spans over five years, with the possibility of a two 2 year extension, as per a company release.

Thinnakara island is 8 km away from Agatti's airport. Meanwhile, the expansive 120 acres of Bangaram Island is surrounded by a coral reef-laced lagoon, marking it as a premier global escape.

The island has a diverse ecosystem including fish, porcupines, parrots, pufferfish, hermit crabs, and seabirds.

In December 2023, Praveg bagged the work order for the development, operation, maintenance and management of at least 50 tents at Agatti Island, Lakshadweep.

The company reported its net Profit at Rs. 8.10 crore for the December 2023 quarter down 29.93 percent from Rs. 11.56 crore in December 2022.
