Sebi Chair Madhabi Puri Buch, husband strongly rebut Hindenburg allegations, claim character assassination
Sebi chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband, Dhaval Buch, have strongly denied Hindenburg Research’s allegations of holding stakes in offshore entities linked to the Adani group. The Buchs clarified that their 2015 investment occurred while they were private citizens in Singapore, two years before Madhabi joined Sebi. They criticised Hindenburg for attempting to undermine Sebi and accused the firm of engaging in character assassination while ignoring a show-cause notice issued to them. Read here

Your credit record will be updated every fortnight, if not earlier
Starting January 1, 2025, banks and financial institutions will update your credit records more frequently. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das announced on August 8th that credit data should be updated every fortnight—on the 15th and the last day of the month—or at shorter intervals as agreed upon by credit institutions (CIs) and credit information companies (CICs). At present, CIs (lenders) are required to report credit information to CICs on a monthly basis, or at such shorter intervals as may be agreed between them. Read more here
