IT services major LTIMindtree on March 12 announced a record multi-year deal win of $450-million with an unnamed global agribusiness leader. This will be a seven-year artificial intelligence (AI) focused project, an area the company’s management has been aggressively doubling down on.
As a part of this deal, LTIMindtree will implement an AI-powered operating model to deliver application management, infrastructure support, and cybersecurity services.
“This comprehensive suite of future ready IT services, built on platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, Microsoft Azure, as well as proprietary AI frameworks are aimed at enhancing the client’s operational efficiency, scalability, and global growth,” the company said in a statement.
Venu Lambu, Chief Executive Officer (Designate) and Whole-Time Director, LTIMindtree said, "Securing this large deal marks a pivotal milestone as we transform to an AI driven business model, helping our clients enhance productivity. We are proud to be the trusted partner for one of the world’s most respected agribusiness companies.”
This comes two months after former COO and a front runner for the CEO position earlier, Nachiket Deshpande, was appointed in a new role as the president of the company’s newly formed AI services business group, as a part of Lambu’s ongoing senior management changes.
"Winning this important deal underscores our strength in crafting innovative solutions and delivering with excellence,” Deshpande, President - Global AI Services, Strategic Deals, LTIMindtree said.
