Vinit Sambre, equity fund manager at DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund, is likely to be elevated to the post of Chief Investment Officer-Equities, according to three sources in the industry.
He will replace Anup Maheshwari, who resigned from the fund house as CIO-Equities.
The official announcement of Maheshwari's resignation and elevation of Sambre as CIO-equities will be made soon. An email sent to DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund remained unanswered.

Sambre, who has over 16 years of work experience, joined DSP BlackRock Investment Managers in July 2007, as a portfolio analyst for the firm's Portfolio Management Services (PMS) division.
Previously, he was with DSP Merrill Lynch as a part of its Global Private Client business.
He spent 20 months at DSP Merrill Lynch as Equity Strategist. Prior to DSP Merrill Lynch, he was employed with IL&FS Investsmart Limited as an Equity Analyst in their PMS division.
Vinit has also worked with UTI Investment Advisory Services as Equity Analyst for the offshore fund – India Growth Fund.
On May 7, DSP BlackRock Investment Managers announced that DSP will buyout BlackRock's 40 percent in the joint venture.
The firm will be called DSP Investment Managers and DSP Mutual Fund, subject to regulatory approvals.
As on March 31, DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund's asset under management stood at Rs 86,300 crore.
