Italian performance bike company Benelli today launched the 302R priced at Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom) in the fast developing budget performance biking segment.
At that price the Benelli 302R is on the pricier side when lined up against its competition such as Yamaha YZF R3, Mahindra Mojo, Royal Enfield Thunderbird, Bullet and Classic, UM Renegade Sport S, TNT 300, KTM RC390 and the Duke 390. Only the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is more expensive than the Italian bike.
Launched by DSK the Benelli 302R, comes loaded with anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard. It is powered by a in-line two-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC engine that is bolted on to an all new chassis. The 302R is mated to a six-speed gearbox and churns out 38.26 bhp of power at 11500 rpm, while generating 26.5 Nm torque at 10000 rpm.
Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Motowheels said, “The DSK Benelli 302R, however, is our first full-faired superbike. This market is highly lucrative with widespread demand and DSK Benelli is perfectly poised to capture a lion’s share of the segment with the 302R joining our existing and highly successful line-up of superbikes.”
Launched with three colour options – White Rosso, Red Nero and Silver Verde - the 302R is available in across all DSK Benelli showrooms pan India.
