Biocon founder Kiran Mazundar-Shaw reacted to the interim Budget, presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday, calling it "all encompassing growth focused" and inclusive of economic development.

Bio manufacturing & research financing to boost innovation & green technologies is positive," Mazumdar-Shaw wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

Sitharaman became the first woman to hold the finance ministry on a full-time basis and she is also only the second finance minister, after Moraji Desai, to present six consecutive budgets.
Sitharaman also became the first woman finance minister to present the Budget in 2019, when she delivered one of the longest speeches which lasted two hours and 17 minutes.
