FMCG major Dabur India announced the successful culmination of one of the industries’ largest and most intricate cloud migrations.

This move is aimed at augmenting Dabur’s resilience in business and strengthening the control over its IT operations. This transition is expected to amplify services to retailers, partners, employees, and most importantly, consumers. By adopting a cloud-only model, Dabur ensures 360-degree oversight across all its operations, gaining heightened efficiency, transparency, and agility.

“Leveraging the power of the cloud, artificial intelligence and its strong data foundation will transform Dabur into an Intelligent, Sustainable Enterprise, with the ability to innovate new products and services faster and provide superior customer experiences. The move is also in line with Dabur’s commitment to curb carbon emissions and achieve Net Zero by 2045,” said Kaustubh Dabral, Dabur India Limited's Global Chief Information Officer.

The establishment of this digital core enables Dabur to derive real-time data insights. The cloud migration, achieved in collaboration with industry leaders such as SAP and Microsoft, was accomplished in 10 months. Accenture took on the role of the implementation partner, while Thoucentric, under Xoriant, oversaw Program Management and Governance. Azure emerged as the primary cloud platform of choice.

“In today's disruptive consumer goods industry, navigating unpredictable supply chains, managing ongoing macro-economic volatility, and staying one step ahead of ever-changing customer demands are key to success.” Said Shailendra Kumar Srivastav, Dabur International Head of IT.

Dabur has moved all its computer programs from its own data center to online platforms such as Microsoft Azure and SAP RISE. The non-SAP programs are on Azure, and the SAP ones are on RISE. With this change, Dabur is the first big Indian consumer goods company to use advanced tech, like Open AI, to upgrade its digital systems. This move to RISE with SAP gives Dabur a full set of business management software and best industry methods to achieve better results.
