Banks in several cities will remain closed April 14, Monday, on account of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, as per the official holiday calendar list published annually by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
The central bank specifies the state-specific holidays well in advance at the start of the year. These specified holidays which differ from state-to-state are other than the regular holidays of second and fourth Saturday and Sunday.
However, digital banking services will remain fully operational during these holidays. Customers can continue to use internet banking, mobile banking apps, UPI, and WhatsApp banking services for transactions without disruption.
Bank customers are also advised to check their respective branches for specific holiday schedules as per their states.
