Wamiqa Gabbi thanks Akshay Kumar and Bhoot Bangla's team as film wraps up, calls it a 'childhood dream'

Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi have wrapped up filming for their latest horror-comedy Bhoot Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. Wamiqa expressed her gratitude for the entire team, especially Akshay, Priyadarshan and Ektaa Kapoor in her latest post on social media.

Wamiqa shared a still from a song in the film featuring herself and Akshay along with a long emotional note that read, "From hysterically enjoying all ‘Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan’ movies all my life to now being part of their world. This had been a childhood dream. Thank you to the coolest @ektarkapoor ma’am, the most amazing @akshaykumar sir and the sweetest @priyadarshan.official sir. It was a FUNtastic experience Cannot wait for you to experience #BhootBangla. Aaaaand my second film with my most favourite @tabutiful ji.'

On Sunday, Akshay Kumar posted a behind-the-scenes look at a song shoot that included him and Wamiqa Gabbi on Instagram. As the actor formally announced, the film's shoot came to an end with these serene shots, which were set against the backdrop of a picturesque waterfall.

In a note included with the video, Akshay also thanked and praised co-star Wamiqa, producer Ektaa Kapoor, and director Priyadarshan. He wrote, "And that’s a wrap on #BhoothBangla! My seventh madcap adventure with the ever-inventive Priyan sir, my second outing with the unstoppable Ekta, and my first but hopefully not the last, magical journey with the ever-surprising Wamiqa. Grateful for the madness, the magic, and the memories."

Bhooth Bangla is set for a theatrical release on June, 2026. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, along with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Film, the horror-comedy also stars Tabu, Paresh Rawal,Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, and Asrani in key roles.
