Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who stars in the recently released Baby John, opened up about the challenging emotional toll of heartbreak.

During an appearance on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Varun shared his thoughts on how men often struggle to understand and navigate through the pain of heartbreak. He discussed how, despite societal expectations, this difficult phase can impact anyone, including men, who may not always express their vulnerability. Varun emphasized the importance of acknowledging emotions and seeking healthy ways to cope with personal heartache.

He mentioned, “When a man’s heart breaks, society doesn’t think much about what happens to him. They go through a very bad time. You have to work and do a lot of things".

He went on and said, “You can’t even show it to them. You get shattered from within. You can’t show that pain. You have to keep a face and move forward because people expect you to be strong, you can’t cry being a boy".

Previously, Varun Dhawan shared his thoughts on the changes needed in the Hindi film industry. He expressed that Bollywood is currently dominated by a mindset focused mainly on Mumbai, often neglecting the diverse perspectives from across India. While Mumbai, as the entertainment capital, understandably influences many decisions made by producers and directors, Varun believes that it is crucial to bring in voices from all corners of the country. He emphasized that this inclusion would enrich the storytelling process and provide deeper, more varied narratives.

The actor mentioned on The Ranveer Show that Bollywood is currently shaped by a mindset primarily focused on Mumbai. He said, "I think some voices need to come from different places, besides Bombay, some voices need to come in. Besides cities, metropolitan cities, besides the big 4-5 cities, tier 2 and tier 3, some voices need to come in. They have to come from there. We definitely need it".

Varun also stated that those in influential positions within Bollywood must recognize the necessity of evolving with the times. If they are unable to adapt, he suggested they should be open to relinquishing some of their power to help uplift the industry as a whole.
