Actor and author Soha Ali Khan has added a new chapter to her already varied career, that of a podcast host. Her show, All About Her, which premiered on YouTube on August 22, brings together candid conversations, humor, and practical advice designed to help women build a sense of self and balance. Over the past few months, the series has become a go-to space for listeners who crave honest, unfiltered discussions that touch both heart and mind.

In its latest episode, Soha sits down with two of India’s most respected voices in finance — Radhika Gupta, CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, and Tejal Bajla, who heads Private Banking at Morgan Stanley. Together, the trio explore how women in India approach financial independence, what money means beyond numbers, and how small early lessons can build lifelong confidence.

During the conversation, Soha shared a personal story from her childhood that revealed how her father, the legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, taught her the power of saving. “When I was 12 years old, my father gave me Rs 500 as a birthday present, but here’s the interesting part — he offered me a choice. I could spend it however I liked, or I could give that Rs 500 back, and in return, he would give me Rs 50 every October. I chose the second option because I thought he wanted me to, and he kept his word,” she recalled.

That decision, she explained, became her first brush with delayed gratification. “Every year, without fail, I got Rs 50 from him in October. That small amount felt like a lesson in saving and how a consistent habit, when compounded over time, grows into something meaningful. It taught me the value of planning ahead. Even today, I treat my credit card like a debit card and make sure every bill is paid on time. Financial discipline has become a part of who I am.”

Through All About Her, Soha continues to offer listeners a rare mix of intelligence and warmth — creating a space where real stories spark reflection and inspire women to take charge of their lives, one thoughtful choice at a time.
