Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor, who is the son of veteran actor Jeetendra, has recently talked about nepotism and revealed that he was once told
During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Tusshar claimed that star kids were often blamed by the media despite not being at fault.
The actor said, “If you come to a press conference naturally without makeup and hair, you are criticised that aap hero dikhne ke laayak nahi ho (you don't look like a hero). If you come with makeup and hair done, you are told you are too filmy. Everyone was trying to pull you down.”
The actor then talked about his debut and the pressure he felt for being a star kid. He admitted to being fortunate to have the willpower to tolerate the pressure and focus on his work, which was what took him forward. He mentioned that the film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai did well upon its release, which helped him withstand the pressure.
He added, “I didn't come into the industry feeling I had to live up to someone's expectations. But there was an attempt to constantly judge and derail my path. But the audience is very pure. They will judge you based on what they see on the screen."
