Odia singer Humane Sagar passes away at 34 due to multi-organ dysfunction syndrome

Popular Odia singer Humane Sagar passed away on Monday evening at only 34, leaving fans and the entire Odia music industry in deep shock. His untimely death has created a huge void in the music community.

Popular Odia singer Humane Sagar passed away on Monday evening at just 34, leaving his fans and the entire Odia music fraternity stunned and heartbroken.

Sagar had been rushed to the emergency department at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on October 14 around 1:10 pm in a critical state. Doctors later confirmed that he died due to multi-organ dysfunction syndrome.

After being admitted, he was shifted to the Medical ICU for detailed tests and treatment.

Medical reports revealed that he was suffering from multiple severe conditions, including multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, acute-on-chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia, and dilated cardiomyopathy with serious left ventricular systolic dysfunction.

Earlier when he was hospitalized two days ago after his health detoriated, Odisha's Ex Chief Minister had shared a post on X, praying for his well being. "Concerned to know that popular singer Human Sagar is hospitalized. Pray for his swift and complete recovery. May he return to his family, his music, and his people—renewed, restored, and safe. Get well soon, Human Sagar," he wrote.

Humane Sagar was regarded as one of Odisha’s most loved and influential singers. He shot to fame with the title track of Ishq Tu Hi Tu, composed by Abhijit Majumdar, and continued to win hearts with his powerful voice and emotional depth.

He released an album in Hindi called Mera Yeh Jahan and recorded hundreds of songs for Odia films during his career. He contributed to a number of well-known Odia music albums, including Niswasa, Bekhudee, Tuma Otha Tale, and Chehera (2017).

Fans from all corners of the state took to social media to express their grief, sharing memories and heartfelt tributes for a singer who had become a household name in Odisha. The Odia music and film industries have been rocked by his unexpected death, which signifies the loss of a voice that had impacted innumerable lives.
