Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala Dutt has recently shared a cryptic social media post about silent abuse. She opened up about how some people use silent treatment as a tactic to control the other person's emotions in a relationship in her post.

In her post, Trishal explained how some people choose to punish the other person for having boundaries or a different viewpoint rather than expressing their feelings.

According to IANS, Trishala, whose social media handles are private, wrote, “They are silently 'teaching' you that your voice is dangerous, and that speaking up will clearly cost you connection with them.”

She further elaborated that this is certainly not the way to be treated in a relationship. She continued, "Silence used as punishment is abuse."

Trishala also encouraged her followers with a similar experience to refuse such abuse and to protect their peace. The post added, "Real relationships don't teach you lessons through pain, they heal through communication."

Trishala even offered a healthy substitute for this kind of therapy, stating that it is preferable to transition to healthy quiet. She does, however, point out that effective communication of the cooling-down period should come first.

Returning for a constructive conversation about whatever is upsetting you should also come after this.

She concluded her post writing, "Silence that protects your nervous system is self respect. Silence that punishes someone else is power play."

For the unversed, Sanjay Dutt shares Trishala Dutt with his late first wife, Richa Sharma. Trishala was born in 1988. Richa tragically passed away in 1996 due to a brain tumour.

In 2008, Sanjay Dutt married actress Maanayata Dutt following her passing. Sanjay and Maanayata were blessed with twins in 2010: a daughter named Iqra and a son named Shahraan. Despite her well-known family history, Trishala has deliberately chosen to avoid the spotlight, even though Shahraan and Iqra are known to appear in the media alongside their parents occasionally.

According to reports, Trishala is employed in the US as a psychotherapist. She has committed herself to a career in forensic science and mental health, and she frequently posts on Instagram about these topics.
