The teaser of the much awaited horror comedy Bhooth Bangla is out now. It is about all the fun and spooky world that director Priyadarshan has created. Bhooth Bangla brings together Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal onscreen after a long time. The film also stars Rajpal Yadav, Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles.
This film is special because it brings Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after a gap of 19 years. They have delivered many iconic movies together before and people are excited to see them work together again.
The teaser is just over a minute long. It starts with a scary voice that says "In Mangalpur no one gets married".
This gives the viewers a hint that there is a curse in the town. Then there is mention about "Vadhusur" which sounds really frightening. The teaser shows some funny moments along with some spooky ones – typical Priyadarshan style.
Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal’s characters bring the fun element like they did in previous movies – Hera Pheri.
Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi also make a brief appearance in the teaser.
Many fans have noticed that the haunted house in Bhooth Bangla looks like the haveli from another movie called Bhool Bhulaiyaa. This has made many wonder if the two films are connected in some way. Netizens are also claiming that the Bhoot Bangla movie is connected to Bhool Bhulaiyaa which was a massive horror hit at the box office.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa features Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar, Shainy Ahuja in the lead role. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was also Priyadarshan's movie which was released in the year 2007.
Bhooth Bangla is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor. The story is written by Akash A Kaushik and the screenplay is by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan.
Bhooth Bangla will come out in theatres on April 10. It will be competing with another film called Dacoit.
