'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' producer Ankur Garg honoured with prestigious Spanish Knighthood - la Cruz De la Orden del Mérito Civil

Film producer and entrepreneur Ankur Garg, co-founder of Luv Films, has been honoured with the distinguished Spanish Knighthood, La Cruz de la Orden del Mérito Civil. This prestigious recognition, awarded on October 8th, celebrates his significant contributions to strengthening cultural ties between India and Spain, particularly through the film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.

Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, and directed by Luv Ranjan, the movie showed the vibrant beauty of Spain, with key scenes shot in iconic locations such as Barcelona, Mallorca, Cala Deia, and Calas Almunia, giving a boost to Spain's tourism appeal.

The La Cruz de la Orden del Mérito Civil is a notable Spanish order of merit bestowed upon individuals, both Spanish and foreign, for their outstanding civic service and contributions to the nation. Ankur Garg's recognition comes as a testament to his efforts in bridging cultures and showcasing the essence of Spain to Indian audiences.

Expressing his gratitude, Ankur Garg said, “It is an immense honor to receive the esteemed La Cruz de la Orden del Mérito Civil from Spain. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Ambassador H.E. Juan Antonio March Pujol, Consul General Jorge de Lucas Cadenas, and Fernando Heredia for this recognition.

The award was presented to Garg by H.E. Juan Antonio March Pujol, the Spanish Ambassador to India, during a grand ceremony marking the National Day of Spain.

Ambassador March Pujol praised Garg’s contributions, stating, "It was a pleasure to present the Order of Civil Merit to Ankur Garg. Despite the challenges posed by COVID, his dedication to filming in Spain demonstrates the great potential for collaboration between our countries.
