Episode two of The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2 featured Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR, and Janhvi Kapoor promoting their film Devara. Saif and Jr NTR, who play the protagonist and antagonist in the film, share utmost mutual respect and admiration for each other's craft and personality, and so was evident in the episode as they consistently praised one another.
Janhvi Kapoor, who made her South film debut with Devara alongside Saif, joined the two actors and shared their experiences of shooting the film. One particularly memorable moment of the show involved a light-hearted discussion about rumours and personal anecdotes. When Kapil asked who wins the battle of controlling the AC temperature in their households, Saif shared a humorous compromise he has with his wife, Kareena Kapoor. “I don’t like to sleep in a warm room, but she likes it a little warmer. We have compromised at 19 degrees,” Saif announced. Janhvi Kapoor, surprised, argued that 19 degrees is not warm by any stretch of the imagination. Saif added, “I am happy, and I hope she’s happy too.”
Jr NTR also joined the fun. He revealed that the war for the AC remote at his home is straightforward. “There is no need for a compromise because I win the battle. My wife (Lakshmi Pranathi) is extremely sweet and allows me to have my way,” he shared with a smile.
Devara, which is currently making waves at the box office, is the second biggest opener of 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD. The film, directed by Koratala Siva, has opened to an impressive Rs 172 crore globally and has easily surpassed the Rs 120 crore mark domestically by Day 2, with the Telugu version alone grossing over Rs 100 crore.
