Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda has passed away on Wednesday (October 8) after being on ventilator for the past 11 days following his major road accident in Himachal Pradesh.
The noted singer was injured on September 27 near Baddi (in Himachal Pradesh), which had left the artist with severe head and spinal injuries and was on life support.
Rajvir Jawanda, who was married and had two young children, succumbed to his injuries in Mohali, Punjab.
According to multiple reports, Rajvir was en route to Shimla when he lost control of his motorcycle near Baddi, Solan district.
He was first rushed to a local hospital in Solan district, where it is reported he suffered a cardiac arrest, before being transferred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali.

Upon arrival at Fortis at around 1:45 PM, medical and neurosurgery teams began immediate evaluation and treatment.
According to reports, Rajvir suffered major injuries to his head and spine and was on ventilator for the past 11 days.
Hospital sources had confirmed that his neurological status remained critical, with minimal brain activity and slow to show signs of improvement.
News of Rajvir’s critical condition had triggered an outpouring of concern across Punjabi entertainment circles and among fans. Big names such as Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, Kanwar Grewal, and others posted messages of solidarity and prayers.
At one of his concerts in Hong Kong, Diljit Dosanjh had even paused his performance and requested the audience to send collective prayers for Rajvir’s recovery. “Dua mei asar hai,” he said, emphasizing belief in the power of prayers.
Rajvir’s mother had also confirmed that several friends and professionals from the Punjabi music industry did come forward to help with mounting medical bills and support the family during this crisis.

Born in Punjab, Rajvir Jawanda gained recognition in the Punjabi music scene with songs such as 'Tu Dis Painda', 'Khush Reha Kar', 'Sardari', 'Surname', 'Afreen', 'Landlord;, 'Down to Earth', and 'Kangani'.
He had also worked in Punjabi films such as Subedar Joginder Singh (2018), Jind Jaan (2019), and Mindo Taseeldarni (2019).
