Actor Priyanshu, also known as Babu Ravi Singh Chhetri, who co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan in Jhund (2022), was allegedly murdered in Nagpur.

After a drunken argument in the early hours of Wednesday, October 8, the 21-year-old actor was allegedly killed by his friend, Dhruv Lal Bahadur Sahu.

According to news agency PTI, Babu Chhetri and Dhruv were close friends who often drank together. On Tuesday night, they went to an abandoned house in the Jaripatka area for a drinking session. What began as a casual night out soon turned violent.

Police reveal chilling details

A senior police official told PTI, “After midnight, Sahu and Chhetri travelled by motorcycle to an abandoned house for a drinking session. Sometime during the night, they had an argument, after which Priyanshu threatened Sahu and went to sleep.”

The officer added, “Fearing harm, Sahu allegedly tied Chhetri with wires and attacked him with a sharp weapon.” Locals reportedly found Priyanshu half-naked, tied with plastic wires, and severely injured. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police sources said the attack occurred between 2 and 3 am, and a tip-off alerted the authorities shortly after. The accused, Dhruv Sahu, has since been arrested. Investigators are now working to determine what triggered the violent altercation.
