Industrialist Yash Birla’s son Vedant Birla and his longtime girlfriend Tejal Kulkarni tied the knot at the Birla residence in Malabar Hill on November 2, 2025. While the wedding was intimate, it was still opulent and stunning, with the bride and groom looking every bit in love.

Celebrity stylist Ami Patel, who took charge of both Vedant and Tejal’s looks for the special day, shared how she first got to know Vedant, whom she describes as both wise and dynamic, many years ago. She was introduced to Tejal through him and knew their bond would last a lifetime.

“When @yashbirla asked me to teach meditation to his children, that’s when I really got to know Vedant. I quickly realised he was an old soul, someone with depth and dynamism in equal measure. Beneath that brilliant mind was a calm wisdom far beyond his years. When he introduced me to Tejal, his gorgeous then-girlfriend, I instinctively knew they were meant for each other,” she wrote.

Details of Tejal’s bridal outfit

For Ami, her connection with the family made it a personal affair, so deciding on the designer didn’t take long. “Styling them felt like styling my own family, and I instantly knew that Sabyasachi would be the perfect choice to tell their story,” she added.

Tejal, the daughter of Sanjeev and Supriya Kulkarni, wore a red handwoven bandhani-based lehenga intricately detailed with glamorous mirrors, pearls, and marodi work. The precision in the embroidery and the rich silhouette looked breathtaking, styled with a matching blouse and dupatta. Her look was accessorised with fine jewellery that added both depth and dimension.

What Vedant wore for the D-day

Vedant looked handsome and “every bit the modern prince” in a pearl-encrusted ivory sherwani by Sabyasachi. While Tejal looked nothing short of a maharani, he matched her with his regal ensemble that featured tonal embroidery. The look was completed with an heirloom pearl-and-diamond necklace and a stunning diamond kalgi.

While their wedding was an intimate celebration attended only by family and close friends, the visuals from the photoshoot showcase the luxurious affair it was. From the decor to the wedding outfits, it was luxury at its finest.
