Samantha Ruth Prabhu to make a comeback to Tamil cinema? Here’s what we know

Actor Silambarasan TR (STR) is currently working on Arasan, Vetrimaaran's upcoming major project. Because it takes place in the Vada Chennai Cinematic Universe, which also stars Dhanush, the movie has already created a lot of buzz.

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu may be making a comeback to Tamil cinema with this film, according to a recent update that has everyone's attention as expectations soar.

Samantha's return to Tamil Cinema

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is reportedly in the early stages of talks to play a key role in Arasan, according to a report by 123 Telugu.

According to sources, if the negotiations proceed, this movie might be Samantha and Silambarasan's reunion after more than 10 years apart, since their initial collaboration in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010). However, an official confirmation is still pending.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (2022), which also has Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, was Samantha's most recent Tamil film appearance.

The romantic comedy, which was directed by Vignesh Shivan, did well at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews. She will make her comeback to Tamil cinema after three years if she signs Arasan.

Samantha's next Projects

Talking about her career, Samantha was last seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the action-thriller web series Citadel: Honey Bunny. The show, which was directed by Raj & DK, was praised for Samantha's performance and its elegant production. The actress recently revealed that Maa Inti Bangaram, an action drama in Telugu, will be her upcoming movie. She is also working on a web series called Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, in which Aditya Roy Kapur will co-star.

In the meantime, Silambarasan TR last appeared in Mani Ratnam's Thug Life, which is presently available for streaming on Netflix and co-stars Kamal Haasan. In addition to Arasan, STR is collaborating on a fantasy action adventure with Ashwath Marimuthu, director of Dragon, and STR 49 with Ramkumar Balakrishnan.

If verified, Arasan could bring together two of the most adored actors in Tamil cinema, STR and Samantha, in one of the most anticipated reunions in the history of the genre.
