Actor Lalit Manchanda was found dead at his residence in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday, April 21, at the age of 36.
Known for his supporting roles in various films and TV shows, including the long running Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Lalit's death is being reported as a suicide.
Authorities confirmed that police discovered his body hanging at his home, and investigations are currently underway. After that, the body was sent to a nearby hospital for a postmortem.

On Tuesday, the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) took to their official Instagram handle to honor the late actor. Sharing his photo, the association wrote, "CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012)."

No suicide note has been discovered at the scene as of yet. No evidence of external involvement or foul play has been found in preliminary investigations.
