Tiger Shroff 'death threat' turns out to be hoax; Police detains Punjab caller later

According to an official, Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, a Punjabi resident, called the Mumbai police control room on Monday with scary allegations that people connected to a security agency were plotting to "kill" actor Tiger Shroff.

An official confirmed on Tuesday that a 35-year-old Punjabi man had been arrested for allegedly giving the Mumbai police control room false information regarding a purported "death threat" to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff.

The accused, Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, stated in a statement from a police officer at Khar that a supari (contract) and a weapon valued at Rs 2 lakh had been given to some people with the goal of killing the 35-year-old actor. But it turned out that the information was false.

After conducting an investigation, the police concluded that Singh's information was completely untrue. At the Khar police station in suburban Mumbai, a case has been filed against him.

The Mumbai police made arrangements for Singh to be held in Punjab by coordinating with the local authorities. According to the official, plans are currently in place to transport the accused to Mumbai for additional legal proceedings.

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has faced several death threats over the years. In the most recent incident, a man described as "mentally unstable" from a village in Gujarat’s Vadodara district allegedly issued a threat against the 59-year-old actor, who is currently under Y-Plus security cover.

The threatening message was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp helpline just last week.
