In response to the devastating floods that have affected parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has launched a relief initiative to provide essential aid to the victims.
In a video, Sonu Sood expressed his deep concern for those affected by the floods and emphasized the importance of collective action in times of crisis. The actor shared the video on Instagram, along with the information for help in the caption. "As Andhra and Telangana battle devastating floods, we stand with those in need. Reach us at supportus@soodcharityfountion.org," wrote the actor.
The actor's relief initiative includes essential supplies such as food, clean water, medical kits, and temporary shelter. He said his team has been working tirelessly to ensure that aid reaches the most vulnerable populations.
The actor said, "Because of the floods, many have lost their home and livelihoods, and we all have to come together to save them and normalise their lives. We are trying to send as much as help we can." Sonu Sood also commended the government for their tireless efforts to provide relief to the flood-affected people.
Several Telugu film actors, including Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, and Chiranjeevi, have donated significant amounts to aid the flood-affected people.
Sonu Sood, who gained immense popularity for his philanthropic work during the COVID-19 pandemic, has once again demonstrated his heroism by providing relief to the flood-affected people. The actor is also gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, "Fateh," which stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Naseeruddin Shah and is set to hit theatres on January 10, 2025.
