Sitaare Zameen Par advance bookings open: Aamir Khan film to get Rs 3 crore on opening day, over 38,000 tickets sold

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is making a comeback on the silver screen after a brif hiatus with his much anticipated movie Sitaare Zameen Par. The movie, which is slated to release on June 20, has shown promising figures in advance bookings.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is making a comeback on the silver screen after a brif hiatus with his much anticipated movie Sitaare Zameen Par. The movie, which is slated to release on June 20, has shown promising figures in advance bookings.

The movie, which is directed by R S Prasanna, is going to have a good start on Day 1 of its release.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Aamir Khan's movie is going to screen in over 6,000 shows across India. And Sitaare Zameen Par has sold more that 38k tickets (38,756 tickets) in all languages across India.

The film has managed to collect a gross of Rs 99.7 lakh from ticket sales.

If the blocked seats are also taken into considenration then Sitaare Zameen Par is likely to have an opening of Rs 3.61 crore gross.

The majority of tickets sold and revenue of Day 1 have come from Delhi region. It is followed by Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka and Gujarat.

Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru also have the highest number of screenings for Sitaare Zameen Par.

The film is going to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Sitaare Zameen Par, is the spiritual sequel of Taare Zameen Par, and has been made at a very small budget. And the fim's performance also depends on the word of mouth plus the opening week.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the makers and distributors have also shared a list of guidelines for the release with the exhibitors.

According to the guidelines, Sitaare Zameen Par can't be screened before 9:00 am, across India.

Aamir Khan has chosen affordability above premium prices to make sure the movie can reach a larger audience. As a result the heaters have been told to charge a little more than normal for popular weekend screenings, but not at blockbuster levels.

While single-screen theaters are obligated to play Sitaare Zameen Par nonstop, multiplexes are obligated to adhere to a certain show count that is proportional to the number of screens they have.

According to the Bollywood Hungama reports, theaters with 10 or more screens are allowed to play up to 31 daily shows.

Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna and the film also stars Genelia D'Souza.

The film also marks the debut of 10 neurodivergent actors, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
