The late legendary actor Dharmendra, whose passing on November 24 left the entire nation in mourning, will be honoured with a prayer meet on November 27, his family announced on Wednesday.

As per the poster shared by Times of India, the gathering is set to take place from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at the Seaside Lawns of Taj Lands End in Bandra, a venue that looks out over the Arabian Sea — a fittingly serene backdrop to celebrate the life of a man who brought endless joy to millions.

In a beautiful tribute shared online, the family released a poster titled “Celebration of Life.”

It features a young Dharmendra smiling warmly, a photograph that captures the charm, playfulness and affection that defined him both on-screen and off. The poster also gently marks his journey on earth: 8 December 1935 – 24 November 2025.

News of the prayer meet has moved fans deeply. For many, Dharmendra was not just an actor but the heartbeat of Hindi cinema’s golden years — a superstar whose legacy spans over 300 films across six unforgettable decades.

Since his passing, a steady stream of celebrities has been seen at the Deol residence. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Rakesh Roshan were among those who arrived quietly to offer their love, prayers, and condolences.

Dharmendra leaves behind a large, loving family — wives Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, daughters Vijeta and Ajita, and daughters Esha and Ahana Deol.

An insider had earlier shared with PTI, “A prayer meet will be held here but the location is yet to be finalised.”

Dharmendra was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Mumbai’s Pawan Hans crematorium — a quiet farewell in contrast to the state-honoured funerals accorded to icons like Sridevi and Yash Chopra.

Vicky Kaushal, who just welcomed his first child with Katrina Kaif, was seen leaving the Deol residence late on Tuesday evening.

Dressed simply in a white kurta-shirt, Vicky walked out with a calm, reflective expression, surrounded by security but deeply present in the moment.
