The much-anticipated announcement for Shark Tank India Season 5 is finally here, and it comes with a twist. While the excitement builds for another season of business pitches, innovation, and entrepreneurial dreams, the show's new promo has caught attention for a cheeky jab at tech veteran Narayana Murthy’s controversial 70-hour workweek remark.

Shared on Shark Tank India’s official social media channels, the announcement video opens registrations for entrepreneurs eager to pitch their ideas to the nation’s top investors — popularly known as the “sharks.” But the makers didn’t stop at just promoting the show. The video promo takes a witty yet thought-provoking look at India’s hustle culture, making satirical references to overworked employees, rigid corporate norms, and the glorification of excessive working hours — a direct nod to Murthy’s recent statement that sparked national debate.

The satire-infused clip cleverly underlines the contrast between corporate grind and entrepreneurial spirit, echoing a powerful message: great businesses thrive on bold ideas, not burnout.

The show continues to be one of the most-watched business reality shows on Indian television.
Since its inception in 2021, Shark Tank India has hosted over 741 pitches, disbursed Rs 293 crore in funding, and sealed 351 deals — becoming a beacon of hope for budding entrepreneurs across the country.

Registrations for Season 5 are now open on Sony LIV. While the premiere date and the new shark lineup are yet to be revealed, one thing is certain: Shark Tank India is back, and it's ready to challenge conventions — with ambition, wit, and a sharp eye for innovation.
