Rupali Ganguly sends defamation notice of Rs 50 crore to stepdaughter Esha Verma

Rupali Ganguly has been in the headlines recently after her step daughter Esha Verma accused her of having an extra marital affair with her father, Ashwin K Verma. According to latest reports, the Anupamaa actress sent a defamation notice to Esha.

Rupali's lawyer Sana Raees Khan, stated in an official statement to Money Control, "We have issued a defamation notice to her stepdaughter in response to her false and damaging statements as Rupali Ganguly firmly stands against the use of defamatory tactics for Publicity and she has taken this legal step to protect her reputation from unfounded claims. These baseless allegations were clearly intended to harm Rupali Ganguly’s reputation and capitalize on her public standing. Such actions have not only caused emotional distress but have also unfairly tarnished her personal and professional integrity."

Rupali Ganguly has issued a Rs 50 crore defamation notice to Esha following serious allegations made against her. According to Rupali's legal notice, she was hurt and shocked to see Esha making derogatory statement through various posts on social media.

The statement highlighted that Rupali and Esha's father, Ashwin, had shared a 12-year friendship before their marriage. It further emphasized that these unfounded accusations have not only tarnished Rupali’s professional reputation but have also inflicted deep personal anguish, undoing years of hard-earned respect in an instant.

The legal notice also stated that Rupali never expected such a malicious attack, especially since she had always treated Esha warmly during her visits to India. It mentioned that Rupali, along with her husband, went out of their way to help Esha kickstart her career in the Indian entertainment industry. They facilitated numerous photoshoots and auditions for her, making special arrangements to support her ambitions.

Earlier today, Esha posted a video on Instagram, in which she revealed that she never felt safe around Rupali and accused both Rupali and Ashwin Verma of bullying her. In the video, Esha made serious allegations, claiming that Rupali's career was built on "deceit and causing harm to others." She further accused Rupali of subjecting her and her mother to "physical, mental, verbal, and emotional abuse."

For those unversed, Rupali's husband, Ashwin, was previously married to Sapna, and together they have two daughters who currently reside in New Jersey. Rupali and Aswhin got married in 2013 and share a son Rudransh.
