Rupali Ganguly, known for her role in Anupamaa, has been in the spotlight after her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, made serious allegations against her and her husband, Ashwin Verma. In a recent social media video, Esha accused both Rupali and Ashwin of abandoning her during her difficult times and exploiting her insecurities.

In a 13-minute video shared on her Instagram, Esha Varma accused Rupali Ganguly and Ashwin Verma of being "true bullies." Esha, 26, began the video by introducing herself to viewers and clarified that her message wasn't about seeking revenge, but rather about a daughter finding the courage to speak out and assert her voice. She detailed how they had hurt her mother and never offered any apology for the pain they caused.

She said in the video, “I may be 26 now, but the pain and memories, they still stick. And even though things are in the past, it affects your future and present. I realized that from all of this, I stood up against my bullies. My true bullies in my life. Not only did they hurt someone who I truly love – my mother; they chose to hurt me. They chose not to acknowledge me. They chose to abandon me, criticize me, and pick on my insecurities so I wouldn’t feel good about myself. They never apologized to me, either publicly or personally."

Esha further talked about her father's lack of support during her growing years. "What hurts me the most was the response from my own father and how he chose to mock mental health. He didn't protect me from the mean comments that were happening, nor did he protect me my entire life and that hurts truly," she continued.

She also spoke out about how Rupali Ganguly’s career was built on "lies and hurting others." She clarified that her intention wasn’t to make the audience take sides but to simply "speak up" and share her own perspective. Esha also stressed that she didn’t want anyone to resort to abusive or negative language towards either party involved.

In the video, Esha went on to explain how she never felt safe around the Anupamaa actress. She also took a moment to apologize to Rupali and Ashwin's son, Rudransh, acknowledging that her earlier comments may have hurt him. "I didn’t intend for any of that to happen and I have so much love for you. I hope papa is being the dad for you, that he couldn’t be for me and our sister. But the thing is that I have a different experience than both of you," she said.

Esha concluded her video by emphasizing that her intention was not revenge. Esha also expressed that Ashwin and Rupali "deserve each other." She addressed Ashwin, stating that if he had managed the situation appropriately, things would not have escalated to this point. Esha expressed a genuine hope that her father, Ashwin, is finally stepping up as a dad—a role he struggled with for both her and her sister throughout their lives.

For those unversed, Rupali and Ashwin tied the knot in 2013. They share a son, Rudransh. Ashwin has two daughters from his previous marriage, and according to Esha, her mother and Ashwin were married in 1997 but separated in 2008.
