Aditya Dhar's directorial Dhurandhar has stormed into theatres with remarkable force since its release on December 5, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down. The Ranveer Singh starrer continues to hold strong at the box office, backed by powerful performances and impressive word of mouth.

Early estimates from industry tracking sources indicate that on Day 4 (Monday), Dhurandhar made Rs 23 crore. With Rs 28 crore on Day 1 (Friday) and a healthy 14.29% increase to Rs 32 crore on Day 2 (Saturday), the movie had a strong opening weekend.

The movie made Rs 43 crore on Day 3 (Sunday), which was a notable 34.38% increase. This was the real high. Monday's collections came in at Rs 23 crore, a 46.51% decrease from Sunday, as was to be expected. As a result, the movie's total box office receipts have increased to an astounding ₹126 crore.

Ranveer Singh has also reached new heights thanks to the spy-action thriller, which turned out to be the biggest opening of his career. It has also surpassed Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, to become the second-highest opener of 2025.

The movie's impressive first-week performance points to a very positive trend at the box office.

Alongside Ranveer, Dhurandhar boasts a formidable ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.

Audience reactions have been equally enthusiastic. One viewer, giving the film four stars, described it as a "high-adrenaline patriotic action drama." Many praised the film’s intense, grounded action sequences—especially the combat and rescue scenes—while others highlighted the cast’s compelling performances, gripping storyline, and tight execution.

A review excerpt from Moneycontrol sheds more light on the film’s narrative approach, "‘Dhurandhar’ unfolds across an extended time frame and opens with the IC 814 Kandahar hijacking, an incident that shook the nation and caught intelligence agencies off guard. The story then moves into the aftermath, where the IB formulates a strategy to counter the rising tide of extremism. Divided into chapters, the film structures its progression neatly and manages to maintain clarity despite its length. It does manage to carve a distinct space for itself within the genre."
