Aamir Khan’s cameo in Coolie garnered lot of attention and during the promotions for the film, the actor had earlier stated that he will be doing a standalone film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. But after weeks of speculation surrounding the film, Aamir Khan has finally put to rest reports that he had dropped out of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming Bollywood debut. He has now shared latest update.
The superstar made it clear that the project is still very much in the works and that both teams are getting ready for the next round of talks.
During a conversation with Sonal Kalra at an HT event in Delhi, Aamir confirmed that the collaboration is still going ahead. "Lokesh and I are supposed to meet." We talked last month, and he said he would be coming to Mumbai at some point. We will read the story. He said, "As of now, it is on the cards," putting an end to all the questions about the movie.
Lokesh is known for hits like Vikram, Master, Leo, and Kaithi. He recently worked with Aamir on the movie Coolie, which starred Rajinikanth. Aamir had a small part that was filmed in secret to keep it from getting out, but the news eventually got out online.
Lokesh had talked about how hard it was to keep his role in Coolie a secret and how it was to work with Aamir. He told him that Aamir finally decided to make the cameo public, saying, "I can't keep lying in front of the camera..." "Can I just say it?" Lokesh agreed, and Sun Pictures gave their permission for the announcement to be made.
