Bollywood Aamir Khan recently spoke openly about his evolving personal life, sharing that he did not expect to “find love again at 60.” The actor says that meeting Gauri Spratt has brought a “lot of calm and steadiness” to his life — a welcome change after previous heartbreaks and years in the spotlight.
Gauri, whom Aamir introduced to the media earlier this year, has known him for 25 years. The two reconnected a couple of years ago, and their friendship blossomed into something deeper. According to Aamir, despite their past ups and downs, he feels fortunate to have Gauri now — someone who values kindness, care, and authenticity.
The actor admitted that he didn’t expect to find love at the age of 60, yet, in girlfriend Gauri Spratt, he has found both happiness and calm. “No, I didn’t actually. I didn’t. To be very honest, I think I had reached a point where I felt I probably wouldn’t be able to find someone who can be my partner. I was not expecting it,” he said.
“Oh! She brings a lot of calm, she brings a lot of steadiness. She’s a really amazing person and I’m so fortunate actually and lucky I feel that I met her. To be honest I feel I’m very fortunate. While our marriages may not have worked, until our lives did, but I think I’m still very happy that I met Reena, Kiran and now Gauri in my life. There have been three people who have really contributed to me as a person in a very big way. I really look up to them in many ways,” Aamir concluded.
During an HT event, Aamir talked about how his exes are good friends and their blended family is happy. “I guess it shows we are good people. Matlab, what to say. Reena is an amazing person. She’s someone I have grown up with. I have spent 16 years with her, and the fact that we fell apart as husband and wife does not mean we fell apart as human beings. And I feel that there is a lot of love and respect in my heart for Reena and I truly value the time that I’ve spent with her,” he shared.
Opening up about relationship with his second wife Kiran Rao, with whom he has a son Azad, Aamir Khan elaborated, “I think Kiran is an amazing person and she and I decided to part ways as husband and wife, but we are family. And I’m not kidding when I say that. I really mean it, we are family. So Kiran, her parents, my family, Reena, her parents, we are all actually one family.”
Aamir married Reena in 1986, and the couple had two children, Junaid and Ira. After 16 years, they divorced in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and they welcomed their son, Azad, in 2011. In 2021, Aamir and Kiran decided to transition from marital partners to friends, committing to jointly raise their son while maintaining a strong, cooperative relationship.
On the work front, Aamir Khan was last seen in RS Prasanna’s sports comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor has Mere Raho, Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos and Lahore 1947 in the pipeline.
