Idli Kadai Box Office Collection Day 1: Dhanush starrer earns Rs 10.50 Cr net on opening day

Dhanush and Nithya Menen starrer Idli Kadai opened in the theatres with mixed reviews. The film has registered a decent opening at the box office and is expected to do well during the weekend.

According to the trade website, Idli Kadai earned Rs 10.50 Crore net in India on its first day for all languages. The film registered an overall 48.34% Tamil and 18.33% Telugu occupancy on Wednesday, October 1.

The Tamil-language drama film, Idli Kadai, is written, directed and co-produced by Dhanush under Wunderbar Films, in association with Dawn Pictures. The film also features Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, R. Parthiban, P. Samuthirakani and Rajkiran in the lead roles.

The recently released film revolves around a man’s search for success leads him to rediscover his roots.

The film has received positive reviews, especially for the first half. Several fans have praised the performance of the actors. The direction and plot also received a positive reaction.

The first half of the movie does an excellent job of conveying Murugan's calm charm, ambition, and some of his heroic attributes. But the emotional father-son theme of the movie is lost in the conflict between the hero and the bad guy in the second half.
