The entertainment world is mourning the loss of veteran actor Satish Shah, who passed away on October 25 due to kidney failure. Known for his impeccable comic timing and warmth, his sudden demise has left fans and colleagues heartbroken.

Actor Satish Shah’s sudden demise on October 25 has left the entire entertainment industry in deep shock and sorrow. The veteran actor, known for his unmatched comic timing and warm personality, passed away due to kidney failure.

On Monday, October 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., a Shraddhanjali Kriya (prayer meet) was held at Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai, in remembrance of him. In addition to grieving his passing, his family, close friends, and coworkers gathered to honour the generosity, kindness, and laughter that characterised his life.

Several actors attended the prayer meet to honour the late actor, as seen in videos that the paparazzi shared. Among the first to arrive was Sumeet Raghavan, who participated in the ceremony with his family. The atmosphere was filled with emotion and remembrance as people recalled the joy Satish Shah brought into their lives, both on-screen and off.


A day earlier, on Sunday, friends, family, and collegues from the industry gathered in silence at Mumbai's Pawan Hans Crematorium for his funeral.

The film and television industries turned out in force for the funeral. Those present included Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, Deven Bhojani, JD Majethia, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak, Farah Khan, Avatar Gill, and Jackie Shroff.

In a heartfelt tribute, the entire cast of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai came together to honour Satish Shah as his mortal remains were consigned to flames. They sang the beloved title track of the show — a moment that moved everyone present, serving as a reminder of his iconic role and the joy he brought to millions.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed that Satish Shah had passed away due to kidney failure. His health had suddenly worsened at home, and he was immediately rushed to Hinduja Hospital, where he unfortunately breathed his last.

Satish Shah’s passing marks the end of an era in Indian television and cinema. Loved for his wit, warmth, and infectious humour, he leaves behind a legacy that will continue to bring smiles for generations to come.
