Yet another celebrity, Ajith Kumar, has fallen victim to a bomb threat. His residence in Injambakkam, Chennai, made headlines after an unknown individual allegedly issued a threat, prompting immediate action from the police.

According to India Today, the incident was reported on Tuesday, leading to a full-scale search of Ajith’s home and the surrounding area.

After receiving the alert, police sent a bomb squad to the actor's East Coast Road (ECR) home. Officers worked for several hours to make sure Ajith and his family were safe.

Authorities later verified that the threat was a hoax after a thorough inspection revealed no explosives. But no other information about the culprit has been made public.

In recent months, similar hoax threats have also been directed at other well-known South Indian celebrities, such as Rajinikanth, Vijay, Dhanush, Nayanthara, and Trisha. Residents are becoming concerned about the recurrent pattern, which has prompted calls for increased security around celebrity residences.

Recently, unidentified individuals sent emails claiming that bombs had been planted at the homes of prominent figures, including actors Rajinikanth and Dhanush, as well as Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president K. Selvaperunthagai, in Chennai.

In a similar incident, actor Arun Vijay also became the target of a bomb threat. According to reports, the Director General of Police (DGP) office received an email from an unknown sender alleging that a bomb had been placed at Arun Vijay’s residence in Ekkattuthangal.

The source of these recurring threats is being looked into by the police. The renowned composer Ilaiyaraaja's T Nagar studio was another high-profile target that was the focus of a fictitious bomb alert in October.

On the professional front, Ajith Kumar was last seen in Good Bad and Ugly and Vidaamuyarchi, both released this year.
