Rajinikanth's Coolie roars at box office with over 55,000 advance tickets sold in North America

Rajinikanth starrer Coolie is breaking records overseas

Rajinikanth starrer Coolie advance booking has started in India as well as overseas, and the film is roaring at both box offices. The film continues to sweep North America.

In North America, Pratyangira Cinemas, the distributor of Coolie, shared details of advance bookings via their official social media account. They highlighted Rajinikanth’s enduring appeal, calling him "a new young man at the box office."

With five days remaining before release, the film has grossed $1.6 million (approximately Rs 14 crore) in the USA and Canada.

In another Instagram post, the distributor revealed that Coolie has smashed over 55,555 tickets for North America premieres. The caption reads, “Let the leader enter, let the history be written! #Coolie smashes 55,555+ tickets for North America premieres.”

The film is also breaking records in the UAE and has shattered advance booking records previously held by Pushpa 2. While Pushpa 2 sold 802 tickets in the first 48 hours of advance bookings, Coolie sold an impressive 9,127 tickets within just 24 hours. Trade analysts report that the film has already earned $527,000 in advance revenue there.

Coolie is also receiving strong responses in markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the UK, and Ireland, where pre-sales have already begun. Advance bookings will open in additional countries starting Sunday.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will portray the role of Deva, a former gold smuggler who sets out to regain his former glory, in the upcoming action thriller.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film features an ensemble cast including Nagarjuna, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir. Aamir Khan will also appear in the film in a cameo role. He is speculated to portray Dahaa.

Collie will release in the theatres on August 14.
