Pawan Kalyan returns to Hyderabad

Pawan Kalyan, the renowned Telugu actor and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has returned to Hyderabad with his family after a deeply distressing episode involving his youngest son, Mark Shankar.

Mark was among several students injured in a tragic fire incident at his school in Singapore, which also claimed the life of one child. The incident occurred on April 8, and Mark, along with other children, was rescued thanks to the swift action of Indian nationals working nearby.

After several days of hospitalisation, Mark has now safely returned home to Hyderabad. A video shared widely on social media captured an emotional moment as Pawan Kalyan was seen carrying his son through the Hyderabad airport, accompanied by his wife, Anna Lezhneva, and daughter, Polena Anjana Pawanova.

Following the accident, Mark was admitted to a hospital in Singapore where he received critical care. Initial reports confirmed that he had sustained injuries to his hands and lungs, with significant smoke inhalation.

Addressing the media shortly after the incident, Pawan Kalyan revealed that his son had to undergo a bronchoscopy procedure to assess the extent of lung damage. Deeply shaken by the incident, Pawan Kalyan cancelled all his political and film-related commitments in Visakhapatnam. He, along with his brother, veteran actor Chiranjeevi, and sister-in-law Surekha, immediately flew to Singapore to be by Mark’s side during his treatment.
