This week, major streaming services have added a lot of new content in a variety of genres, languages, and formats. This means that viewers will have a busy schedule after the festival. Here are some great new movies and TV shows that you should add to your watchlist. They range from samurai-style crime dramas to mythological epics to new types of reality TV.

People Call Him OG (Netflix—Oct. 23)

The main character, played by Pawan Kalyan as a gangster trained in samurai, returns to Mumbai to settle scores with a tough rival in this action-crime story. The movie wants to reach people all over India by being released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Kurukshetra Part 2 (Netflix—October 24)

The next set of episodes is an adult-oriented animated retelling of the Mahabharata that goes deeper into the war's moral stakes and turning points. This mythological drama mixes high-concept ideas with stylized animation and is great for watching during the holidays.

Param Sundari (Prime Video—Free Starting October 24)

This romantic comedy with Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra was available for rent starting on October 10. It will be available on Prime for subscribers starting on October 24. The movie combines AI matchmaking with romance between people from different cultures, making it fun for families to watch. This film is likely to be available in a dubbed version too.

Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh (JioHotstar) on October 25

This 100-episode epic is being called India's first AI-powered mythological series. It combines AI-enhanced visuals with the strong story of the original Mahabharata. A big show that will appeal to both mythology fans and binge-watchers.

Mirage (Sony LIV – Oct 20)

This psychological thriller by Jeethu Joseph comes out a little before the Diwali weekend. It stars Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali and follows an investigative reporter as he uncovers a deadly web of secrets. It comes in many Indian languages, so it's a great choice for people who like suspense.

Bhadrakaali / Shakthi Thirumagan (JioHotstar – Oct 24)

This political drama, which stars Vijay Antony, is about power games, high-stakes scams, and procedural intrigue. It wants to reach people in different regions by being released in multiple languages.
