The film bagged the Oscars for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Score.

Based on the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the ‘father of the atomic bomb’, this mega Hollywood starrer has Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon, amongst others. It also bagged seven BAFTAs including Best Director, and Best Film and cinched eight awards at the Golden Globes including Best Director of a Motion Picture, Best Drama Motion Picture and Best Actor in Drama.

Barbie

Directed by Greta Gerwig, Barbie’s screenplay was cowritten by Greta and Noah Baumbach and had eight Oscar nominations. With the win, Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell became Oscars’ Youngest Two-Time Winners, taking home the Best Song Oscar for ‘What Was I Made For?’ The film is available to watch on Jio Cinema and for rent on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Google Play movies.

Poor Things

Based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray, this Emma Stone-Mark Ruffalo starrer was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and written by Tony McNamara. This is available on Disney + Hotstar and is also streaming on Hulu, and on rent on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. Emma Stone won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her turn as Bella Baxter - a woman with the brain of an uninhibited child.

The Holdovers

Da'Vine Joy Randolph bagged the Oscar as the Best Supporting Actress for the film The Holdovers starring Paul Giamatti. This comedy-drama is directed by Alexander Payne and written by David Hemingson. This one is available on Apple TV Plus and for rent on Amazon Prime. The Jio Cinema release date is yet to be announced.

The Zone Of Interest

Jonathan Glazer's Holocaust drama was nominated for five categories for the 96th Academy Awards and won the Oscars for the Best International Feature Film and Best Sound. It is not available to watch for free in India at the moment, but reports say that it arrives on Max on April 5.
