Nani to collaborate with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv for a new pan-India film: Reports

Nani and Shouryuv team up once again

South superstar Nani is riding on the success of HIT: The Third Case, and he has already bagged another blockbuster. He will soon collaborate with director Shouryuv for a new project. Nani and Shouryuv have previously collaborated on emotional drama, Hi Nanna.

According to OTT Play, sources close to the production have teased that the upcoming project will be a pan-India entertainer and is likely to go on floors in early 2026. Meanwhile, the makers are yet to make the official announcement.

The source said, “Shouryuv met him a few days ago and narrated a romantic comedy, which the HIT 3 star loved and gave his nod to. Nani has asked Shouryuv for a complete narration, which will happen in the coming weeks."

The upcoming film is said to be a light-hearted romantic comedy. The genre will notably marks a refreshing shift for Nani after his intense, action-packed roles.

According to insiders, filming is set to start in 2026 after Nani wraps up his projects with director Sujeeth, with a potential release in 2027. Nani was initially hesitant to collaborate with Shouryuv on Hi Nanna due to it being Shouryuv's directorial debut and its seemingly conventional storyline. However, he was won over by Shouryuv's distinctive storytelling and visuals.

Meanwhile, the actor already has a series of projects in his pipeline. Nani will be next seen in The Paradise.

Currently, Nani is filming 'The Paradise', while his most recent release was 'HIT: The Third Case'. Meanwhile, his last film HIT 3 was a huge success.
