Actress Parineeti Chopra has impressed the audience with her portrayal of singer Amarjot Kaur in the recently released film 'Amar Singh Chamkila' opposite Diljit Dosanjh. The movie, which has been directed by Imtiaz Ali, is streaming on Netflix.

Fans are showering Diljit Dosanjh with praise for his portrayal of the late Punjabi leader Amar Singh Chamkila, with many expressing their admiration for the actor's performance. Parineeti Chopra, who played the role of Chamkila's wife, Amarjot Kaur is also being appreciated for her performance.
Receiving accolades, Parineeti expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming love by sharing a video on her Instagram account. In the clip, she sings a few lines of the popular song "Pehle Lalkare naal" (originally sung by Amarjot with Chamkila).

IMDB has given an 8.5/10 rating to the movie 'Amar Singh Chamkila'. The film has music by AR Rahman, and some of the original songs of Chamkila have been sung by Diljit himself.
Even Priyanka Chopra gave a shout-out to her cousin Parineeti and team Amar Singh Chamkila for their performances in the movie.

The film is based on the lives of Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife, Amarjot Kaur. Both were tragically murdered by unidentified assailants just moments before their scheduled performance in 1988 at Mehsampur village in Jalandhar. Amar Singh Chamkila died at the young age of 27.
The singer shot to fame with his song 'Takue Te Takua' and went on to deliver many hits. His songs are still famous in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Now, thanks to the movie, the entire world is hearing this legend, who was also called 'Elvis of Punjab.'
