Kamal Haasan is back with Indian 2, sequel to his superhit Indian (1996). The film will likely release in May.

Kamal Haasan is back as vigilante Senapathy/Hindustani in Indian 2 to fight corruption. Counted among the biggest stars in the south film industry and with a reckoning in Hindi films, the versatile Kamal Haasan has delivered some of the biggest films and enjoys a massive fan following. The actor is all set to star in the highly anticipated film Indian 2. The film has been directed by popular Tamil filmmaker S Shankar and is the sequel to their superhit film, HindustaniIndian (1996).

There has been a lot of hype around the film's theatrical release as fans wait eagerly. Amid all the buzz comes the news that the film’s theatrical rights in Karnataka have been bought by a popular production company, Romeo Pictures. Indian 2 also features Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rahul Preet Singh, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, and Priya Bhavani Shankar.

Karnataka's leading production company Romeo Pictures have, reportedly, bought the film’s rights for a massive price. A price higher than any Tamil film ever released in Karnataka, even before its release.
