Jaideep Ahlawat looks ripped in physical transformation photos for role in ‘Maharaj’

Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat recently starred in the highly anticipated and contentious Netflix film "Maharaj." In order to fully inhabit the character's mindset, Jaideep had to get shed a significant amount of weight. The star has now shared his transformation photos.

Jaideep Ahlawat is a big name in the Bollywood industry with the actor’s latest film venture in the much talked about and controversial Netflix film “Maharaj,” Jaideep had to not only churn his mind to embody his character’ personality but also had to lose some serious weight to be able to put on the characters’ shoes.


In an Instagram post, Jaideep shared his physical transformation process he went through to be able to star in the film. He captioned the post writing, From 109.7 Kg. to 83 Kg. That’s the Physical Transformation for the Role of Maharaj. Thank you Prajwal Sir for believing in me @prajwal7542 @yrf @netflix_in @siddharthpmalhotra”

Fans of the star flocked to his comment section to praise and admire the actor’ body transformation. One fan found a resemblance of the star to WWE wrestler Edge. “Bhai Looking WWE SUPERSTAR EDGE,” commented the fan. Another fan wrote, Uffff.. he bhagwan…Bhaiya, aap kuch bhi kar sakte ho, pakki baat hai” (Oh my god, sir, you can do anything, and this is a fact).

Siddharth Malhotra (no, not not him) “Maharaj”’s film director, too applauded the actor’s dedication and bravado he put into the film. Malhotra wrote, “Bhai the dedication and devotion you have put and given to this role and character can’t be put in words ! Always indebted to you.”

Though controversies surrounding the release of “Maharaj” delayed the release by the Gujarat High Court, the film has hit Netflix and is available to watch now.

Many fans of the film who have already watched it, have been reaving about Junked Khan and Jaideep’s performance in the film.

The Jaideep Ahlawat starrer is based on an 1862 libel case between a Vaishnavite religious leader and a journalist, Karsandas Mulji, who alleged in an article in a Gujarati weekly that the godman had sexual liaisons with his women devotees.
